Author Bio: Virgil Oglesby is a veteran of 28 years in the U.S. Army. His career having spanned the period from WW II through the end of the Vietnam conflict. He rose through the ranks from private to Lieutenant Colonel. Oglesby served in Airborne, Special Forces and Special Operations and was a battalion commander in Vietnam. His exemplary service brought him a number of awards including the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, seven Bronze Stars and numerous Army and Air Force Commendation Medals along with a Purple Heart. Colonel Oglesby and his wife, Grace, each have grown sons. They now live in retirement in Brandon, Florida where they spend their time writing and fishing.
