Book Title: JIPSI Life
Record Number: 1277
Author: C. Allen Doudna
Author Bio: Claude Allen Doudna grew up in Maxwell, Nebraska near the geographic center of the United States. His mother grew up in a sod house. Pointing to a swiftly moving star one night she explained that it was a satelite (probably Echo I). About that time his cousins liked to take their cars out to the hilly pastures on their Nebraska farms and jump canyons with them. He was living with other cousins in Iowa when the first men landed on the Moon. They had a wealth of books on science and science fiction and it was here that he got the idea for JIPSI Life. He familiarized himself with a number of faiths by reading and attending most churches. He served in the U. S. Navy at the end of the Vietnam War and studied for the Seventh-day Adventist ministry. He felt unworthy for that vocation when his first wife left him and he has done mostly factory work since then. The poor choice of candidates and their lack of vision has caused him to consider running for President.

Book Description:   A JIPSI Caravan returns to an all-natural Earth and a boy from the Caravan falls in love with a girl on Earth. Then his Caravan has to leave and what are these two teenagers going to do? Could a country girl get along in a world where vacuum cleaners do what you tell them to? Could a boy from space settle down to a horse-and-buggy way of life? Johnny comes from a world that moves filled with people on the move. Life is temporary. Janise (rhymes with peace) comes from a world deep in family and deep in values. God fearing folk. Opposites attract, but a clash of cultures threatens to rip them apart. Screenplay. You can't go zipping through the solar system in a couple of hours. Other than that, the science is fairly accurate and everything in here is possible in the next 20-50 years. In fact, we could've gotten started 20 years ago and be seeing the first of it today, but the respected Senator William Proxmire expressed the opinion of Congress at the time: "I say not one penny for this nutty fantasy!" But there are few technical unknowns, and the things in here can be built any time we choose to do so.
