Author:
William Wright
Author Bio:
William Wright is a physician specializing in ear microsurgery. He has authored over sixty published medical manuscripts and book chapters concentrating on his special interests in Meniere’s disease and reconstructive surgery for hearing. Writing for mainstream magazines and newspapers on both medical and non-medical topics keeps his repertoire fresh. He speaks frequently at medical symposia as well as lay functions on medical and entrepreneurial topics. Educated at the University of Michigan, he began experiencing the outdoor life that blossomed into interests in skiing, backpacking, and scuba diving. A childhood passion for model planes developed into a private pilot’s license. An early fascination with computers and programming got completely out of hand and led to the formation of his own software company. Suffering from midlife crisis, he accepted a friend’s challenge to try martial arts. He now holds three black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Aikido with instructor’s certificates in both. His first magazine article in U*S* Kids profiled the youngest person in the world to obtain an Aikido black belt. He lives and practices medicine in Indianapolis with his artist wife, Mollie, and various rescued animals of dubious parentage.
