I was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia in 1923. I married my husband Donald when I was twenty-one years old. We left the farm and came to Homestead, Pennsylvania in 1946. I am the mother of nine children. I am eighty-one years old. I decided to write this book when my marriage of fifty-five years turned sour. I felt trapped, at times I thought I would loose my sanity, but God kept me in my right mind. When I was seventy-five years old, I asked Donald to move out. I wanted peace of mind and to be happy. That mattered more to me than anything. There's light at the end of the tunnel. |
