The emotions range from love, hate, greed, envy and fear. Slices of Life depicts life in India in the nineties. Look for the twist in every tale in this collection!
THE MISTAKE - This story deals with the primeval fear that lies deep within every man and how the sudden release of this fear in the protagonist results in disaster. This story, like every other story in the collection, is basically character-driven.
ROSY - This story describes the protagonist’s life. It is a story of intense, fruitless devotion. See if you can figure out the identity of the protagonist before it is revealed.
THE STRANGER - A couple on their honeymoon encounter a stranger who is not all he seems. They offer him a lift. What follows next is a terrifying journey to a terrible truth.

Anish Balakrishnan was born on December 23, 1972 in India. He graduated from the University of Madras and majored in Computer Science and Engineering. He currently works as a Software Engineer for Sybase, Inc. and works out of their offices in Los Angeles, California. When he is not writing arcane programs for a living, he loves to write. He is drawn to the common man. He characters are always the kind of people you meet every day - ordinary, hard working, ambitious men and women. His stories place these ordinary people in unusual situations and let the characters decide for themselves the outcome of the story. In essence, his stories are generally, character-driven.
