About Our Book:

This book is the story of a rainbow chase during the sugar boom of 1974 written by one who lived through the experience. The large dollar amounts involved trigger all the chicanery and the danger and intrigue.

About the Author:

The author was born in New Mexico in the year of 1934, the son of a World War I war hero, he was orphaned at the age of seven and because his mother could not raise ten children on a widow’s pension he and seven of his brothers and sisters were sent to an orphanage and eventually adopted out. At the age of twelve he ran away from the orphanage and climbed aboard a freight train loaded with horses bound to the racetrack. He galloped horses at the racetrack. He was adopted later by a national champion rodeo producer who owned a night club and racetrack. At the age of eighteen he was drafted into the Army and became an airborne ranger and served with the 187th Regimental Combat team in Korea, following Korea he served with the 77th Special Forces and has since retired and presently lives on his ranch in Texas and raises thoroughbred horses and white German shepherd dogs.
