Darrell Jordan started training in boxing in the mid sixties while growing up in NYC, in 1968 he began training in Shotokan Karate under Charlie Zayas. He had the opportunity to train in Okinawa (Isshin-Ryu) and the Philippines (Shorin-Ryu) while he served with the United States Marine Corps. After returning home in 1975, he later located the Lee Moy Shan Ving Tsun Kung Fu School and was soon assisting with instruction by 1978 and ran the day class at the Chambers St school. In 1981 Darrell and his Sihing Steve Goericke went to open the first Ving Tsun School in New Hampshire. Darrell was accepted as a Disciple of Lee Moy Shan in 1985.
Sifu Darrell is an Advisor to the Authentic Ving Tsun Association of Hong Kong, and a permanent member of the Hong Kong Ving Tsun Athletic Association. Sifu Darrell serves as the Director for Ving Tsun for the U.S. Martial Arts Association and has been inducted in numerous Hall’s of Fame. He also is a member of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Civil Air Patrol. Sifu Darrell currently resides in Orlando, Florida with his wife Patricia and two sons Robert and John. He is the President and Founder of the World Ving Tsun Athletic Association and the Florida Ving Tsun Athletic Association where he teaches publicly and privately.
