| About
Our Book: |
This collection of inspirational country tales and selected poetry, was compiled and published by Dean Goff, at the age of 82, to be passed on to his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
LOVE IS A GIFT Love’s not made to dormant lay in a safe, warm, place for a rainy day. Love’s not a thing to trade or sell nor a toy with which to play. Love is real when it becomes a gift and the gift is given away.

| About
the Author: |
Dean Goff was born on an Iowa homestead on April 23, 1925. His early years were spent during a difficult period in the American history. Those years were spanned by the recovery from World War 1, the preparation for WWII, and the worst economic depression in US history. His parents, struggling farmers, saw to it that all their children received a minimum of twelve years of education. Dean finished his twelfth year three months after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. He was drafted into the Air Corps and became a career man in the electronics field in the USAF until retirement in 1966. On his retirement from the AF Dean became self employed in electronics repair. He had a passion for further education and enrolled in classes at the local community college at every opportunity. His interest was primarily, in literature and writing. He began writing poetry and short stories in his mid fifties. At the age of 82 he put together this collection of short stories and poems to be published and passed on to his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends who had encouraged him to continue his writing over the years. He is currently retired in Napa, California and is presently enrolled in a creative writing class at the Napa Valley Community College.
