| About
Our Book: |
The general public has very little knowledge of what the Public Safety Diving profession is or does. In this book, past and present members offer their accounts and experiences dealing with such subjects as body recoveries, evidence, flood evacuations, salvage of aircraft and vehicles, as well as the emotional aspects covering these operations. The stories account for a period spanning over 30 years, which highlight their service - stories, which are captivating. These historical accountings will offer insight into a field that has had little written about it in the past. So if you’re a diver, or non-diver, you will enjoy reading the stories as they unfold to tell the story of this teams dedicated members. The Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue & Recovery team is among one of the oldest continuously operating dive rescue teams in America, founded in 1966.
