About the Author:
A permanent resident of Las Vegas, Gale Baker is a published poet, songwriter/playwright and novelist from Tennessee. A jazz artist, Gale started writing on the firing line as opening act for stars like Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles. An actrress with a multitude or film and television credits, she also wrote for the Landsburg TV series "True Confessions." Eight of Gale’s plays have been produced including her multi award winning country musical, Waterin’ Hole. Her highly acclaimed play Pin Curls continues to be a popular pick on the College Theater Circuit. Gale is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Blue Ribbon judging panel, the Dramatist Guild and ASCAP. Other works by Gale Baker include nonfiction Neon Queens as well as fiction titles The Biggest Business, Ginny and The Hobos, A Crush on You, Rough Ride to Hell, They Own The Night, Lady in Distress and others as well as her collection of poems, Reflections in the Verse of Life. Christian Curtis is a five-year-old budding artist & Gale’s grandson. He has learned to play the drums by watching television and makes up his own choreography to dances accompanied by the electric organ beat he creates. Some days he wants to be president and other days he thinks it might just be better to be a director.
