Pieces of Eight, Part II is a collection of eight novellas that complement the eight stories that appear in Pieces of Eight. The selections are a blend of different short story and novella plots and themes. "A Noble Experiment" and "Inspiration for All" are of the science fiction variety. "Obadiah Bush, Gene Alter and Branche Sawyer" represents futuristic humor and time traveling. "Dual Events" explores a reincarnation/revenge theme. "Loyalty to Duty" involves an astrological prophecy fulfillment plot. "A Day to Forget" concerns itself with psychological drama, "Death and Taxes" is a horror-oriented drama, and "July 4th, 2076" is a futuristic sci/fi/adventure/drama. "Dual Events" takes place in Bermuda, where the author and his wife have vacationed. Other settings are "the Delmarva peninsula for "Death and Taxes," Hammonton, New Jersey for "Inspiration for All" and "Obadiah Bush, Gene Alter and Branche Sawyer," Colorado's Rocky Mountains for "July 4th, 2076," and Atlantic City for "A Day to Forget." In addition to Pieces of Eight and Pieces of EightPart II, Jay Dubya has also written two parts of a trilogy of young adult fantasy novels. Pot of Gold and Enchanta are both available at ebookstand.com (on "Category Menu" go to "Children's Books.)" Space Bugs, Earth Invasion will complete the trilogy started by Pot of Gold and Enchanta. Jay Dubya also has two mass-market adult novels under literary mangement with Lee Shore Literary Agency, Pittsburgh. Ron Coyote is a parody/satire on Miguel Cervantes' Don Quixote, and Black Leather and Blue Denim is a '50s coming of age novel. John Wiessner is married, and he and wife Joanne have three grown sons. Jay Dubya likes '50s music, and he also is a big Beatles, Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles and John Fogarty fan. When Jay Dubya isn't writing, he enjoys watching 76ers basketball and Phillies and Yankees TV baseball games.

Jay Dubya is the writing name John Wiessner uses. John lives in Hammonton, New Jersey with his wife Joanne. The couple has three grown sons. "Pieces of Eight" is the companion book of "Pieces of Eight, Part II", which also has eight novellas. Jay Dubya has written two young adult fantasy novels, "Enchanta" and "Pot of Gold." Both books are available from ebookstand.com under the heading "children's books." A third fantasy novel, "Space Bugs, Earth Invasion" is currently being written to round out the trilogy started by "Enchanta" and "Pot of Gold". Jay Dubya also has two lengthy novels under literary representation with the Lee Shore Literary Agency, Pittsburgh.
