| About
Our Book: |
| When veterans meet, their eyes know. I have met them in bars, in VA hospitals, outside in the cold while sharing a cigarette, on corners huddled and alone, in all walks of life, and have heard passing references and out right lies. I took their words for these poems; re-arranged them to tell a story of a century, a decade, a moment of war. It is a story of calls, answers, promises kept and broken, links between generations severed. This collection describes the experience of those who fought - those who returned; those who did not - and those who did not fight. Love them. Love the veterans. That’s all we can do.(NOTE: 'CONUS' is the military acronym for CONtinental United States) |
