| About
Our Book: |
Love Matters is a spiritual guide to learning and understanding the art of loving. It teaches us how to practice basic love principles found in the scriptures. We begin by taking an in-depth probe into the private lives of biblical lovers. This exciting journey into the intriguing, often times turbulent affairs of the likes of Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, David and others, becomes an exciting odyssey of virtual vicariousness for their time and era. In exploring the feelings, pitfalls, impatience, dangers,as well as, joys and successes of biblical couples, we obtain an objective view of how love can and cannot thrive. By the end of these pages, the reader will walk away with an understanding of why we should never enter into a state of matrimony, unless "love" is the principal reason for undertaking the marriage. You will also learn about love seeds; what they are and how fortunate you are, should you happen to be one."

| About
the Author: |
Georgene Royal who writes under the pen name of “Joi,” spent her early career years in the field of social work and family childcare. She received a degree in psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta and did post graduate work at Georgia State University. She began her career with Bureau of Child Welfare in New York, and continued working in the social work field with a large day care organization in Atlanta. Through her practice of social work, she gained an extensive knowledge of the family’s structure, dysfunctions, break-ups, addictions, and sufferings. She began to forge awareness that something was absent from most families that made them vulnerable to breakdowns. Before long, the severe problems, generated by a lack of love between parents, became quite clear.
The author’s life has been one continuous quest for spiritual knowledge. It was through a powerful need to come to terms with her own dysfunctional childhood, while growing up in rural South Carolina, however, that led to her true discovery of the healing power of God’s love.
Joi has studied under the guidance and spiritual tutoring of Pastor Dale Bronner at the Word of Faith Church in Atlanta, where she has been a member for many years. She currently resides in Atlanta with her five-year-old grandson, Matthew, the real inspiration for the writing of this book.
