| About
Our Book: |
"Self Defense at any Age" is a system of skilled defense for the average man or woman who desires some self defense abilities but who is perhaps out of shape, not interested in any lengthy formal training, or in the middle years of life. It is designed for someone willing to put in some practice time at home and get something more valuable than a weekend combat seminar.
The system addresses itself to those who choose not to be defenselesss regardless of age or size, but sufficiently prepared to ward off an attack, and even have the ability to deliver effective countermoves. Technically, this system utilizes a cross training perspective selected from multiple disciplines such as ju jitsu, karate, boxing, and commando type training. Power is not a prime ingredient, but practicality, ease in learning, and retention, is. It's a condensed "small tool box" approach utilizing a philosophy of achieving excellence in limited quantity than mediocrity in abundance. Simplicity of movement is the emphasis regardless of age or condition, and creativity the expected outcome. It is concise but thorough. |
