She earned a B.A. in journalism from San Francisco State University, and a professional certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduate screenwriting program. Malea and her husband reside in Northern California. Her second book, Princess Melia, is a fantasy sequel to Return From Atlantis, a dream journal.
