Within this novel we are drawn deeply into the inner world of the child and into the unconscious motivation of the adult. Freedom is seen as the releasing of the individual from the driving forces of fear and conditioning.
To this end Lance's adventurous and, often humorous, search leads him from the logging camps of Alaska to the fantasy land of Disney. His seeking takes him through the exciting dangers of the African bush to the exotic marvels of the East. In every place and in each situation he must challenge everything he thinks he knows and find the courage to face the fears he never knew he had.

Who am I? Good question! By the end of this novel, Lance, the hero, could probably answer this question with more authority than I. Suffice it to say that I too have traveled some of the same roads as Lance. This is not an autobiography but I did go to the same places and had my own set of adventures.
My degree in Psychology from Liverpool University was a reflection of my passion for such fundamental issues as, "What drives my behaviors, thoughts and emotions?" and "How did I become the person I appear to be?" I have occupied my whole life, maybe even longer, delving into the Spiritual quest to discover, "Who am I", "What is Truth", and "Where is Freedom".
My research has led me into such endeavors as hitchhiking alone, walking across fires and jumping from airplanes. I have studied with many Spiritual masters and have spent twenty-one years so far, visiting or living in the communities of the Enlightened Mystic Osho.
As a young woman, I taught in elementary schools in England, Tanzania and Abu Dhabi. I have always traveled and at one time was changing my job, my residence or my country about every three months! Presently I am living, on and off, in an Intentional community in Redmond, WA.
