| About
Our Book: |
| Wine, like art, inspires and intrigues us all. It intersects our daily paths in a thousand ways and becomes woven into the memories of our lives. This book of wine haiku explore the four dimensions of this interaction: Life, or how wine is constantly present at the intersection of life’s crossroads, the things we celebrate or regret, the events which form the pattern of our lives. Love, or the connections between wine and our hearts, the memories that connects life's most important emotions to a certain wine at a specific time. Lust, or how wine can release or just bear witness to the wild conflagrations that can erupt; the carnal beauty of life, and wine's magical power to reveal it. Wine and Food, or how wine is a deeply connected part of our everyday lives and experiences. |

| About
the Author: |
Peter Himes lives and works in Palo Alto, California and is a battle-scarred veteran of the high technology industry. Having spent 25 years in semiconductor engineering, sales and marketing roles, he now splits his time between technology work and starting and growing San Sakana Cellars, a winery dedicated to producing exceptional wines from high quality, organically farmed vineyards. Not a professional poet or writer by any stretch of the imagination, he nonetheless got hooked into creating wine haiku after giving it an initial go, and finding how well the haiku structure fits with creating life images with words. All haiku in this book first appeared on the San Sakana Wine Haiku Society; check it out at www.sansakana.com! He is a die hard Red Sox fan and will gladly trade haiku for gameday tickets at any time.
