| This book reflects what I feel and see on a daily basis. Not all is a direct reflection of what has happen to me or from the point a view of a male. Thanks to my mother I have emotions that seem to run deep for certain events and people. With that I have a lot of things I see that touch me and bring a pain to my heart at times. I?m not, to some people?s beliefs, trying to write a book to change the world or for a profitable gain. I just want to share my thoughts and ideas in hopes that what I see can be seen and understood by others. The world is not a perfect place and life is not an easy thing for anyone. Money makes something?s easy but doesn?t change the reality that life is what it is. So I?m just praying that someone sees the ideas and looks into the eyes of the people that hurt and decide to step up and help, make a difference, or at least push others to. We cannot go on day to day watching others around suffer and hurt and die pointless deaths. While individuals worry only about themselves and what personal gains they can acquire. When children go without and are unable to have what others around are given, such as food , water, toys, clothes, and most of all a male role model, then we all fail. We need to all try to make a difference and give back as much as possible. It?s easy to watch the world go by and feel pity, but it?s very hard to get up and do something about it. In the end the rewards are worth the actions. |

I was born in Detroit Michigan and raised in an area that has become all too familiar to young black males. With just my mother and my older sister to raise me I often found comfort in the street environment and what went on beyond the windows of our home. But with a strong family support and guidance from my mother and sister I was able to avoid many dangers that waited daily for me. But this never kept my eyes and mind oblivious to what was going on and how I had countless years of near misses. As well, as a few times that the street life got the best of me and the hold was to great to stop me from being swept into situations that I thought even the lord would turn his back, but it turns out he never did. So hear I stand after years of near misses and now a single dad raising a son on my own hoping that I can protect him and guide his path while trying to share my life?s turmoil?s in the effort to educate. Ironically enough being a single dad was also a path left for my above, for I have met endless single moms on my way and have used my self as a male role model to many little boys and girls across the states. So as I started writing for my son to give him something of my self before my inevitable eternal exit. I saw a need to try to touch more then just him but to give a voice for the boy or girl that have something inside screaming out but unable to be heard
