| About
Our Book: |
The Naked Trumpeter is a suspenseful novel that reveals how an unusually large number of people are becoming sick from a wide variety of illnesses, most of which are terminal. A few government officials and the manufacturer of a certain pesticide know the cause, but they must keep it secret because behind it lurks the deadly results of a previous experiment in Africa and New York City.
The full panoply of human emotions is explored through vivid characterizations of greed, apathy, ignorance, and trust. At the center are two very different individuals: a man, whose deep love for his murdered wife surpasses all fear and rationality, and a perky young female journalist who risks her career by telling the Naked Trumpeter’s story.
The author uncovers the components and participants in a massive government conspiracy and exposes an insidious cover-up. Toxie’s tale is a thriller that brings you face to face with the victims, the perpetrators, and those who believe they are “ordained” to govern the masses.
Though fiction, the story is based on firm, published scientific facts and clearly depicts those who play a part in the criminal domination, both corporate and political, of our lives.

| About
the Author: |
TOXIE MYERS WAS RAISED IN Oakland, California. He attended Berkeley’s University of California for four years where he started a career of curiosity, musician, record producer, writer, ironworker, and sales; then taught college level construction courses, including OSHA and Hazardous Materials Safety. Before taking a three-decade hiatus from writing he wrote three novels and authored nationally published short stories centered in Mississippi, his birthplace, Hollywood and the former Hong Kong. He wrote under several pen names “because my unusual first name distracted editor.”
The dangerous and criminal disposal of salvaged PentaChloroPhenol and Dioxin hazardous waste next door to him inspired his book A POISONING IN EDEN published in late 2005 and THE PINOLE SYNDROME in 2006. Both received extremely high reviews in national periodicals and Internet websites like Barnes & Noble, Yahoo, and Amazon. Several of his previously published works and uncommitted books and stories are now being prepared for publication.
He is seventy-one years old, an active environmentalist, social activist for human rights, lives in Pinole, California in his Little Eden with all his critters and the memory of his late Wife, Pauline.
He is a lover of animals and nature; firmly believing crimes against them is crimes against ourselves – and our loved one.
