Our Book: |
| This is the story of the gallant 17th Infantry Regiment in the closing months of the Korean conflict, and the young men that fought the Communist Chinese to a complete standstill. One such young soldier from the hills is caught up in the swift charge and counter-charge of the United Nations forces and the Chinese Communists. He is uniquely qualified to face the enemy. then he finds a fortune in gold that he and his men have to hide. He is wounded and several years after the conflict ended he is attacked. Then he finds that there are those that want the gold including renegade US Army Sergeants. They kill a friend of his and He decides he must return to Korea to find the killers, and possibly to recover the gold coins for himself. Since he is the last remaining man of his unit he knows that he will not be left alone until he's killed, or the gold is recovered. An exciting book of military action, with the horrors of war, and certain actual battles described as they happened. |
