| About
Our Book: |
| In his new book, Professor Kulish, the author of The Way, persuasively demonstrates that the archetypal images that gradually developed into the tarot cards were extensively used for centuries by the Sufi mystics, Cistercian monks, Knights of the Temple, such authors as Chretien de Troyes, Wolfram von Eschenbach, and Goethe. Through his analysis of various cultural phenomena, the author arrives at the concept of the archetypal field that determines and is itself determined by the individual human psyche. The author shows that the Holy Grail is a symbol of the psychological attractor of that field rather than a real material object. The Grail lore has been used by the Gnostics as a means to deliver their message to the circle of initiated. Hence, the quest for the Holy Grail is an inner rather than an outer journey. The stages of the quest encode the necessary stages of one's psyche on its trip towards the highest spiritual goal – to attain unity with the universal consciousness. One of the main discoveries made in the book is that Goethe's Faust is heavily based on the archetypal symbolism and contains all the elements of the Gnostic philosophy. It has been shown that the system of the archetypal symbols possesses a highly complex structure and encodes in it a tremendous amount of information, usually called the sacred knowledge. How this knowledge may be extracted has been demonstrated by rediscovering a secret of the builders of Gothic cathedrals. |
