Over 180,000 books are published each year,
but that equals less than 1% of the manuscripts
submitted for publication. It’s a fact that
the major publishing houses will reject, at
least once, most authors who have written a
novel or book. However, and most importantly,
that does not mean that the book is without
merit. For some, it just means that the book
does not fit into the traditional mold of current
literature or the most recent trend. For others,
the book is passed over due simply to the volume
of books publishers, editors, and agents receive
each day. There is hope, however. Self-publishing
through www.eBookstand.com is a great way for
first time authors to get their books into the
hands of readers.
Self-publishing used to be considered a vanity
option, and an expensive one at that. Until
recently, an author could pay up to $15,000
for professional editing and cover design, plus
printing and shipping of 1000-5000 copies. Then,
the author had to find a way to market and sell
those copies. Today, there is a better option
– Print on Demand.
For finished, edited books, self-publishing
can allow an author to control the fate of his/her
book. With self-publishing, the author determines
how many copies of the book will be printed,
where it will be sold, and how it will be marketed.
For less than $1500, an author can receive 52
copies of his/her book, each printed and bound
with a great cover. The books are ready in five
weeks, and can be sold from the website www.eBookstand.com.
The author can even cost effectively order books
to sell on their own, in batches as small as
25. And not to strand an author with books to
sell, the publishing package also includes the
“10 Step Quick Start Program”, providing marketing
assistance to self-published authors. Finally,
self-published authors receive much higher royalties
than a traditional publishing house would pay
– up to 30% of the cover price!
Is it time to take that manuscript and make
it available? The option is here – now is the
time. Learn more about self-publishing at www.bookstandpublishing.com.
